Sumptuous Accommodation in the Old Courthouse

Walford Court was thought to have been built as a courthouse, and within these walls resides the charm and character of 500 years of life. Deep oak beams contain carvings and ritual marks of carpenters long gone - there are no new extensions for guests to stay in - all bedrooms and sitting rooms share in the complete character of the house. We do have a few uneven floors, and low beams, but the ceiling height is generous and the rooms are large, as befitted a courthouse.

We have 3 rooms available for guest accommodation, comprising 2 very roomy suites with sitting rooms, and a very large double room with a sitting area. All are en-suite.

Breakfasts and evening meals are served in our beautiful dining room, with its inglenook fireplace and bread oven. Through the large oak leaded windows you can view the gardens and ancient yew trees. On fine days in the Summer we are happy to serve meals in the garden. In the winter we'll keep you cosy with our wood-burning stove.

All bedrooms have televisions with DVD players, and well-stocked tea trays, with a fresh supply of muffins provided every day. All rooms also have a fridge to keep your wine and snacks cold!

For that extra touch of luxury we also provide you with robes, scented candles, bubble baths, shampoo & conditioner....oh and cosy hot water bottles!

We are happy for you to eat in the rooms, and can supply crockery, cutlery and napkins as required. We also offer a selection of platters of local and home made produce, which are placed in your room fridge ready for you on return from a lovely day out! Hot home made soup and crumpets/cheesey herby muffins can also be made available in the eveningsi n our guest lounge.

Wireless free broadband access is also available in the rooms if you can't do without your laptop!

To celebrate 3 years of Award winning success in the Flavours of Herefordshire awards, we ensure that there is always a good selection of local and artisan produce on offer.

For that extra romantic touch you can arrange for a beautiful, fresh flower arrangement to be in your room on arrival. Our local florist, Phil will prepare something stylish, unique and affordable. Just click on www.abundantludlow.co.uk and tell him what you'd like.

You'll find it hard not to relax and unwind in the tranquillity and beauty of the setting.

Prices - Award Winning Value for Money

All our rooms have king sized beds, and are rather large! The Suites have separate adjoining sitting rooms with the double room having a seating area within the bedroom. As a small business we will only occasionally take single night bookings particularly at weekends - sorry, but one single night booking in the wrong place can lose us a considerable amount of income from multiple night bookings - please do ask though - sometimes it works out just right!!
